Amoxycillin can bacterically inhibit the action of bacterial enzymes called bacterial lactobacilli, which are produced by the colon. This action can prevent bacteria from producing lactobacilli. It does this by binding to the bacterial cell wall, preventing them from destroying called M� peptidoglycan. This bactericidal action prevents the cell wall from breaking down the antibiotic. Clavulanic Acid is an acid-blessing medication. This acid-blessing ability prevents bacteria from breaking down the antibiotic. This tablet contains two different substances: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid.
Augmentin 625mg duo tablet is usually taken twice daily (morning and evening) at bedtime. It is important to take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
